DLA & Benefit Busters

The possible threat of the withdrawal of DLA is worrying as I am a recipient of DLA myself. it looks like it is just another way of this damn governments no more benefits campaign and make sick and disabled peoples lives more difficult and back to the 1800's Poor Law.

It just seems to me just lately to be an all out attack on the vulnerable/the unemployed and people who don't have a voice to support them. I have already added my name to the Benefits and Work DLA & AA campaign which can be found here

I must say I really can't wait to watch on Channel 4 Benefit Busters , no doubt another program aimed to put benefit claimants in a bad light. No doubt the sick and disabled will feature in the series somewhere. We shall wait and see. I am appalled that such programs are put on our screens for so-called entertainment. I saw that it features A4e which you can read about on the newdealscandal blog

Did you know that New Deal providers are caught up in a new fraud case? Approx £20m (estimated) from unlawful £4 travel deductions.

episode 3 covers long term sick, and getting them back to work....

Not holding out much hope the program will be anything more than propaganda, but you never know, channel 4 may be honest and ethical.. Or maybe not - will have to wait and see.

more than likely they will just show a bunch of people in the first episode or two, and show how amazingly successful the thing was at getting them all into work, as if by magic.

Would be very suprised if it shows the situation as it really is.

I honestly thought the first programme was great. The trainer was so positive and it was great to see the students develop. I know your issue with it is different but just my two pence.

This really Pissed me off, Why isnt the govenment chasing after women who get pregnant on purpose and have about 5 kids and get housing benefit and child benefit and god knows what else...
I was 20yrs old when i fell ill was at college and working, When i got a rare disease and caused kidney failure when i had to stop. The side effects alone are hard to deal with not alone the emotional stress of having a chronic condition.

There gonna stress people and false people who really isnt stable enough to go back to work just to save money. Well bully someone else before you start on the sick.

Benefit Busters got me incredibly annoyed! The system is there for people who are geniunely sick or who are looking for work but can't get any -however the attitude of some people is beyond belief. I was particulary shocked at the younger people who felt they were entitled to benefits even though they have never worked in their life. I would love to ask then exactly why they think they are entitled to thousands of pounds from the goverment when they haven't paid a penny in. They can't get jobs they want so they don't bother. If you want a good job, put the hard work in and either study or work your way up. Those who earn a lot work for it, but they started at the bottom and did crappy jobs and whatever it took to pay the bills. All we have now is a country with the attitude that it's easier to get benefits then work. The government should stop encouraging and rewarding laziness - I'm not talking about those who are unable to work due to sickness, it's those who can but won't. If their benefits were stopped they would soon find the motivation. This may be a rant but I work hard for my money (doing some depressing jobs on my way up) and pay a lot in tax, and it seems that a good portion of this is spent on people who just don't feel like working. Yes, well done indeed to the Labour party, it's a system we can all be proud of.

Did you see last Thursdays episode ?
The guy with the bad back had a marvellous range of movements without wincing in pain ....until he was asked to lean forward.
Does he expect us to also believe he does not see a consultant because a turkish doctor told him not to let a British doctor near his back !

The Disability benefits should be administered by the NHS to ensure scroungers are evicted from it !
